Lead FX Artist
Description
Guerrilla is looking for a Dumbledore amongst FX Artists - someone with the sage-like leadership abilities and clairvoyant organizational skills to drive a project's vision, and inspire other FX wizards to achieve new heights. As our Lead FX Artist, you will be in charge of defining and delivering the visual and artistic effects for our games. You will set the example for all FX team apprentices, helping to continually raise the quality of every project within the studio.
Requirements
Are you that Lead FX Artist spoken of in legend? We want to hear from you if:
- You've worked in the games or film industry for 3 or more years, with multiple shipped titles under your belt.
- You have the ability to look at any effect, identify its strengths and weaknesses, and give concrete recommendations for improvement.
- You're comfortable leading a team and are able to inspire others to raise the bar.
- You're versed in the workflow pipelines for visual effects in games and/or film.
- You have a thorough understanding of the wider game development process
- You are able to demonstrate strong 2D and 3D expertise, with proficiency in Maya, Houdini, and Photoshop.
- You have strong organizational, problem solving and analytical abilities.
Plusses
We especially want to hear from you if:
- You specifically have experience in the game development process.
- You have experience working with Houdini for FX creation.
- You have strong personal experience in overlapping skills such as Animation, Technical Art, Modeling, Texturing and Lighting.
- You possess knowledge creating destructible content for AAA first-person shooters.
- You have a passion for developing games, and especially for first-person shooters.

Designer Portfolio
Your application should be supported by relevant documents that demonstrate your range of design skills, such as concept work, structure, mechanics and behavior. It should demonstrate your proficiency in design by supplying documentation describing your own design, accompanied by screenshots if possible. If you have created any mod levels, please include them as part of your portfolio.
Portfolios can be submitted in PDF format, as a ZIP archive, or via a URL.
