Senior Game Coder

Description

Being a Senior Game Coder at Guerrilla is like being a little god: you're responsible for laying the foundation for an entire game world. As part of an agile team of designers and artists, you invent ways to break complex game features down into logical systems which are easy to develop and maintain. You prove these features by building and refining prototypes of your systems, making sure they add to the overall believability of the game world. You also assist and encourage other departments to get the most out of the systems you create.

Requirements

Do you have divine aspirations? We want to hear from you if:

  • You've worked on (and completed) one or more games
  • You have a fiery passion for programming in general
  • You're fluent in C++ and other applicable programming languages
  • You can optimize code for performance, scalability and clarity
  • You're comfortable working with a large code base
  • You enjoy working in agile, multi-disciplinary teams

Plusses

Not all Senior Game Coders are created equal... So we especially want to hear from you if:

  • You have a helpful, solution-oriented attitude
  • You have a grasp of the mathematics behind 3D graphics
  • You're able to analyze the strengths and flaws of a game
    • You have experience designing and developing state-of-the-art systems for humanoid animation and/or physics
    • You are able and willing to review your fellow-programmers’s code, coach them and help them solve problems

Please note: Applications submitted without sample code will not be considered.
